Project Leadership
A large group of individuals have been involved in the creation of this park including Fort Scott Bourbon County River Authority board members and members of the Developing the River as an Asset community visioning team. Many community groups and members have assisted with contributions of time and money to help make this park a reality.
The Fort Scott Bourbon County River Authority Board of Directors consists of six individuals appointed by the City of Fort Scott and Bourbon County. Current board members include: Jerry Witt, Arnold Schofield, Allen Warren, Jeff Sweetser, Penny Pollock-Barnes, and Dale Johnson. Former board members include: Dean Mann, Bob Love and Mike Lakeman.
Dean Mann has been appointed by the board of directors to act as the project General Manager going forward.
